Burleigh Brewing Company:

Burleigh Brewing Company came to R&B with a unique beer, a niche market and a personal vision. During the 10 month creative process we created a name – Duke – developed the brand, designed the visual style and adapted it to packaging, print and online media.

For a retail product such as beer, every element of the brand is crucial to market success and fundamentally sets the tone of communication with the market through all mediums. By conducting a brand development workshop with the client, R&B identified the ‘soul’ of Duke. The brand story was then developed with the voice, personality, values, positioning, u.s.p and promise of ‘Real Fresh Beer’ in mind.

The artwork and design of Duke was highly technical for each element of the packaging – bottle labels, six packs and cartons. R&B liaised with several printers, exploring different paper stocks, inks and print processes to ensure that the colours and detail of the design would translate across all mediums.

The outcome is a brand that is on brief, resonating with its market and its makers.
