Big ideas are nothing unless they’re shared.
Creating a simple yet beautiful website
to display captivating content.
Wonder. Shared. Microsite
When the BBC asked six of their most
prominent personalities and presenters to
tell the story of which idea last blew open
their mind, the fascinating content needed
a website to allow it to be shared with the
world. The intriguing stories ranged from
tales of iconic British explorers, the premise
of ‘adventure journalism’ and the perception
of different cultures through knowledge.
Featuring anecdotes from Louis Theroux, Simon Reeve, Steve Backshall, Brian Cox, Bruce Parry and Ben Fogle, each presenter has a dedicated profile page which contains their video in which they share their favourite wonder moment or inspiration.
What we did…
Website design and development
Built with HTML5 and CSS3, the website
concept relied on smooth
and fluid transitions between pages, with certain
elements only displayed
on mouseover to encourage the user
to explore and discover the content
Sharing with the world
The microsite was first launched in
Asia and Poland (including language
translations) and has also recently been
launched in Australia, New Zealand
and South Africa.
