R&B Design Director, Craig Rochfort recently journeyed north to Normanton near the Gulf of Carpentaria to work with local indigenous artists as part of a new Health Service being established in the region by the Royal Flyng Doctor Service and North & West Queensland Primary Health Care.
Craig attended a day long workshop with stakeholders and Aboriginal artists in Normanton forming the foundation of the Health Service’s new visual identity. R&B have been engaged to coordinate the development of a brand for the as yet unnamed Health Service that will encompass 7 indigenous communities in the Carpentaria region.
“We need to ensure that all culturally sensitive issues are considered and the community ends up with a real sense of ownership,” Craig said of the project. “In addition to this, the brand will assist in attracting the best health professionals to the region.”
Apart from the temperature being 45 degrees, the trip was a successful one. R&B look forward to working with the local communities while bringing the Health Service one step closer to a reality.
